An Auspicious Start

This whole thing started because of a conversation.

Lily and I have been talking for some time about writing. We've worked together, discussing bits of the craft for years, but then one night -- tonight -- we came to a conclusion. There's a lot we've learned since college, things that we never learned in class. As with most colleges, the professors focused on lessons that would help us write beautiful literary fiction, but never worked with how to write genre fiction -- which is, let's face it, where the market is, nor how to sell what we've written when it's done.

We're going to look at some of those things here, generate some discussion, and see what comes of it.
